Ho, Ho, Hold on to Your Santa Hats - The 2025 Santa Run Is Coming!
On Wednesday 24 December, the jolly man in red will be cruising through Cooloola Cove, Tin Can Bay, and Wallu with thanks to the Tin Can Bay Fire Station team and CCYAP.
Santa is dusting off his boots and hopping aboard a fire truck once again as the Tin Can Bay Fire Station team joins forces with the Cooloola Coast Youth Activity Project (YAP) for this year’s Santa Run! On Wednesday 24 December, the jolly man in red will be cruising through Cooloola Cove, Tin Can Bay, and back by popular demand, Wallu!
Because Santa’s got a huge night ahead of him, he’ll be sticking to a set route to make sure he sees as many excited little faces as possible. Want to track him like a Christmas Eve sleigh radar? Maps for Tin Can Bay and Cooloola Cove will be posted on the YAP Facebook page, with live updates in the comments as Santa moves along.
And if you hear fire truck sirens, don’t worry, that’s just Santa saying hello!
The fun starts in Cooloola Cove at around 3pm, followed by a quick festive whirl through the three main roads of Wallu. Tin Can Bay’s run kicks off around 5pm before Santa zooms off to the North Pole to finish loading the sleigh.
If your street isn’t on Santa’s route, no worries, just head to a nearby stop or meet up with friends at one of the local parks along the way. A friendly reminder to keep everyone safe: please wait for the fire truck to stop before approaching.
Want to help Santa stock up on treats for the kiddos? Drop off donations to the YAP team behind the library at the Tin Can Bay market on Saturday, 20 December or phone 0411 218 254.
