Michelle said: “After 15 years of living in Rainbow Beach we were delighted to have finally won the prestigious Rainbow Cup! Held every Melbourne Cup day at the Sports Club - this very serious event requires a jockey, a trainer for each steed - a hobby horse. What a fun day we had!”

The perfect day dawned for the prestigious 2020 Melbourne Cup and Rainbow Beach was ready.

All the local venues turned on the fun to hold a day to remember, despite limited numbers and restrictions, and people were happy to have a reason to party.
