Droughtrunners request

Tony Stewart, Coordinator RB DroughtRunners, 0408767930.
Before I bring you the report, I have an important plea - we really need sugar, flour, pasta, rice and tinned food - anything you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Rainbow Beach Droughtrunners have had a reasonably quiet month as I recuperate from a recent op and have to take it easy. The last few days got me cranked up as I had an urgent call from a school near Warwick asking for help.
Some families experience great difficulty feeding their children post drought. I hurriedly put together 10 x $50 hampers, plus a lot of other food and $800 in vouchers and it was picked up the next day.
Many thanks this month for donations from Leena and Steve from Tin Can Bay, Harvey and Pat for jams, Wayne Kerle continues his great work with bottle and can collections, Tin Can Bay Bakery tin collection $85. Bill Neal from Cooloola with wooden toy sales $110, and Jim Snee from Tin Can Bay with mozzie coil holders.
Many thanks to all our donors and businesses with collection tins. Another $500 has gone to Fencing for Fires for materials, with $800 in vouchers going to the Childers area.
As I mentioned before, we desperately need those staple food items. If anyone can help we will pick up.
