CIRS Update: May 2026
SAVE THE DATE: Rainbow Beach Community Information and Resource Service Association Inc. (CIRS) will work with Gympie Regional Council to host an emergency evacuation preparedness event at the Centre on 13 May at 8.30am.
Jed Elmer, President, Rainbow Beach Community Information & Resource Centre (CIRS)
The live-streamed production of The Last Ship hosted at the hall last month was a hit! A good time was had by all in attendance. Thanks to QPAC for the opportunity, we hope there are more shows to come in the future.
A quick reminder that submissions for the time capsule are still open until the end of May. After then, the capsule will be sealed and mounted in the hall on display for the next 25 years. Please hand in your submissions to the hall office during opening hours or contact the president.
We are thankful to receive two new volunteers to our team, however, we are still looking for volunteers at the hall. This can be anything from handyman work, office staff, markets set up or pack down or selling tickets for the many generous raffles offers we receive from the Rainbow Beach Sports Club and Hotel. SAVE THE DATE: Rainbow Beach Community Information and Resource Service Association Inc. (CIRS) will work with Gympie Regional Council to host an emergency evacuation preparedness event at the Centre on 13 May at 8.30am.
This event will help the local community come together to plan and prepare for any potential natural disaster response.
Though we hope the Centre is never activated for this need, it is better to be prepared. All are invited to attend but please RSVP so we can plan for the total number of attendees.
For any information on the above please contact via phone or email to: President - Jed Elmer, 0434 056 356, rainbowcommunitycirs@gmail.com
